Literature Text

It all begun on a winter day in December, the day before Christmas, in New York City around the year 4000.

Everyone, robots and humans, were preparing for Christmas; the heroic Knights of the Square Table, or in short K.S.T, were no exception.
They had been saving the world all year and were now happy Christmas had finally come with all its joy.

Christmas decorations could be seen literally everywhere and all kinds of Christmas food were being prepared for the day that would soon come. And those, like robots, who couldn’t have normal human food had their own kind of refreshments.

It was a beautiful day. Snow fell silently and only a couple of clouds were seen on the sky.
But what no one could predict were all the horrible things that were about to happen on this day before Christmas.

Despite heroes like the Knights of the Square table, evil always finds a way to come crawling back from the darkness it had been hiding in; even in times like these.

-

On a large hill near the New York City stood a mighty old castle covered in snow.
It was the Castle K.S.T, an old castle that has served as the Knights of the Square Table’s base of operations for as long as anyone can remember.
Not everyone could get into this famous building however, for the castle was restricted to those who either worked for the KST or was one of them.
The castle was very magnificent despite its age, due to all the modifications and polishing the K.S.T had been doing to it for all the years they have been using it.
It was 5 levels high, had many towers on its rooftop among all kinds of antennas for communication (And TV of course).
This castle was what the knights called their home, despite them having private homes elsewhere in the big city. It had been a haven during many tough times through the years.
Castle K.S.T has faced many challenges but has always remained stable; nothing has ever been able to break down the walls on this castle.

-

The little Swedish Wall-S bot known as Lass-E sighed as he looked out from one of the many windows, observing the snow falling. He was sitting on a little wooden chair in his personal private room.
If there as one thing anyone who knew Lass-E would say that described him perfectly was "coffee".
Every knight in the castle got their own personal rooms after joining the group; their rooms reflected their personalities.
The same went for Lass-E’s room for it was full of posters about coffee and magazines about coffee; he even had his own personal coffee-machine in his room.

“What’s the matter?” said a voice from behind. “Not happy Christmas is here?”
It was the Waste Allocation Load Lifter – Girl class everyone knew as Wall-G, the bot who love traps.

Both she and Lass-E looked the same as the Waste Allocation Load Lifer – Earth Class bots known as Wall-E bots except for mostly some color differences. She was pink with red marks while
Lass-E was blue with arms colored yellow.
They were old friends and have stuck together for many years by now.

“Yes, of course! It’s just…” Lass-E paused for a moment.
“Yes?” answered Wall-G and tilted her head.
“I just hope we won’t run into troubles now when it’s so close to Christmas.” Lass-E replied and sighed.

“Oh, well we have been through a lot under the years we have been part of the K.S.T, Lass‑E.” Wall-G answered. “Trouble always seems to find us anyways no matter what we do.”
“I know. Trouble doesn't need to find you; you always seek out trouble yourself by going after Wall-E with your crazy traps.” Lass‑E replied and laughed in his usual famous laughter that he sure loves to use.

“Hah. Hah. Very funny...” Wall-G sarcastically said. “But I sure love challenges and that Eve won’t stop me from doing what I like the most!”

“You really can’t stop with that dangerous hobby, can you?” Lass-E said, even though he knew what his old friend would reply with.

Wall-G chuckled. “You know me!”

-

Then suddenly an alarm abruptly interrupted their moment and a voice from the loudspeakers yelled: “Every knight report to the meeting room immediately!”

Wall-G and Lass-E were quick to respond; they immediately rolled out into the hallways and towards the meeting room. The hallways were covered on the sides with all kinds of statues made out of iron and on the floor lay a long red carpet.

“What is that all about?!” Wall-G shouted while they were rolling through the hallways of the castle.

“Who knows? Maybe it is coffee time! HÖHÖ!” Lass-E laughed back, to which Wall-G just let out a sigh.

The meeting room was a large rectangular room.
In the middle stood the Knights of the Square Table’s famous Square Table; it was around this table the knights swore their very oath to protect planet Earth from whatever threatened it.
On the walls hung banners with their symbols and due to the nature of the holidays, Christmas light decorations covered the walls as well.

A tall slender female android stood with her back turned towards the wall.
It was Monova the Queen of Earth, but also leader and founder of the Knights of the Square Table.

She had a hair-like head tail and shining black armor. Her eyes and the several lights on her body were glowing green. There were blue stripes on her hips and arms.
Around the table sat the other members of the Square Table, all wondering why their Queen and leader had called them for an emergency meeting.

Wall-G and Lass-E stormed into the meeting room; everyone turned their attention towards them.

“Sorry that we’re late.” Wall-G said quietly while she and Lass-E joined the knights around the table.

"awwwkward." Lass-E whispered to Wall-G who glared at him.

“Now that everyone is here can you tell us what have happened, Monova?” A large and quite muscular humanoid robot said. He had red armor with orange stripes on his head and big shoulders. His face had a big blue visor that showed his bright blue eyes.

It was Kordahk, Monova’s oldest friend and the strongest in the group. Even though he could be a bit goofy sometimes he had a heart of gold and would never let anyone down.

Monova was silent for a moment until she said: “anyone watched the news lately?”
After those words said she lifted a remote control and pressed a button; a large computer screen on the wall was revealed.

Everyone silently watched as the screen went online; a newscast was shown with a female reporter droid talking with loud explosions in the background.

Usually I do a big Christmas picture for Christmas every year, but I decided to do something more than that this year.
There was an idea about a story that popped up in my mind. An idea inspired by the big battle picture :iconclub-kids: and I made: Twas' the Fight Before Christmas by CLUB-KIDs

I was thinking a bit about it for a while when this idea came up: What if I did something entirely different and wrote this story instead of drawing it as a comic?

And so here comes the result after of a couple of days of writing:
A big Christmas story involving characters from :iconclub-kids: and me.
I don't really write stories often so this was quite the challenge, but I think it turned out pretty well anyways.

Also, much thanks to :iconclub-kids: who helped me out with this.

Enjoy~
